Anna-Verena Nosthoff is currently a co-director of the Critical Data Lab at HU Berlin, a visiting researcher at Princeton University, and permanent affiliated researcher at the Institute of Network Cultures in Amsterdam. Prior to that, she was a research fellow at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society (Berlin, research group democracy and digitization) and a lecturer at the Institute of Political Sciences at the University of Vienna and at FU Berlin.
She has published on the digital transformation of the public sphere, the power of Big Tech, the politics of social media, the platform economy, as well as critical theory, the philosophy of technology, the history of cybernetics, and current forms of cybernetic governance and their implications for the future of our societies and the political. She has also published various articles on the work of Theodor W. Adorno, Emmanuel Levinas, Giorgio Agamben, Günther Anders and Samuel Beckett.
